There is something special about cooking your pulled pork on your grill because the grill adds that outdoor taste and flavor to the meat. Sure, you can cook your pulled pork in a crockpot, instant pot, or even in the oven.

What is the best liquid to use for pulled pork?

This should be cooked for approximately 5 to 6 hours, or about 1 hour per pound, rotating the roast to ensure even cooking and adding more wood chunks to maintain the smoke. Check the grill every hour to ensure the temperature is being maintained and that there is enough water in the water pan.

How do you make pulled pork on a gas grill?

Best Liquid for Pulled Pork In my opinion, chicken broth, though beef broth can also be used, is the best liquid to use with pork butt in a slow cooker. You could also use water, which is fine, but broth just gives the meat so much more flavor.
