Grilled Leek Recipe

They have such a unique and sweet flavor and pair well with rice, corn on the cob, and any other veggies and starch, which is why I love to grill or bake these Caramelized Grilled Leeks.

The most common way to prepare leeks is to dice them up and add them to soups, stews, and stir-fries, but one of my favorites is to grill or bake whole leeks.

Heat a griddle pan or bbq grill until hot. Brush the leeks with the oil. Place into the hot griddle pan (cut side down to start) and cook for a few minutes on each side or until they begin to char and soften. Serve with a drizzle of lemon juice, sprinkling of parmesan and season to taste with salt and pepper.
