Romano’s Macaroni Grill’s delicious Rosemary Bread, which is offered as an appetizer, is my favorite aspect of the restaurant experience.

My husband and I like to say that because we consume so much of it, we never feel peckish when our entrees are served.

This homemade version of Macaroni Grill’s bread is incredibly simple to make and just as delicious.

My husband wanted to learn how to make it so he could bake it this week for his crew at the fire station, so we made it twice in the last two days…and ate all of it.

Another reason I love this recipe is that it’s perfect for those who are not experienced bread makers. This was the first time he had ever made bread, and it turned out amazing.

When served with a pat of butter or with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette next to your favorite Italian dish, Macaroni Grill Rosemary Bread is the ideal accompaniment.

I’ve discovered that if I put the baking sheet in the top third of my oven, my loaves turn out the perfect shade of brown.

What flour to use for bread?

Strong white bread flour, all-purpose flour, and whole wheat flour are common options, and bread or all-purpose flour is best for baking normal bread while self-raising flour is better for “quick breads.” The type of flour used to make bread will vary depending on the type of loaf you want to make.

Our whole grain breads use 100% whole wheat and don’t contain any artificial additives, unlike most breads, which typically only have 5 ingredients: wheat, water, honey or organic cane sugar, yeast, and salt.
