FAQ

How long should you grill carne asada?

Start a charcoal or gas grill. Rub the steak with the crushed garlic. Combine the remaining ingredients. Let the steak sit while you prepare the grill. Grill the steak for 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Cut the steak into slices and serve as soon as possible (hot is best, but warm or room temperature is fine).

Does carne asada need to be grilled?

The same method applies for cooking carne asada indoors on the stovetop if you don’t have access to an outdoor grill: Preheat a large, heavy skillet over high heat (preferably made of cast iron). Cook the meat for 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until the desired degree of doneness is reached.

Is grilled steak the same as carne asada?

Marinate for at least five hours and up to a day. Heat grill to medium-high. Lightly oil grill grates. Grill for three minutes on each side, then flip. Let carne asada rest for at least ten minutes.
